Use your formula of choice depending on own experience, lens placement or other factors. Important is to use accurate keratometry and biometry and the correct IOL constant. For accurate and predictable calculation results it is advised to “personalize” the lens constant. Please contact us if you need a starting point with IOL power calculations formula. It is recommended to use modern theoretical formulas like the Holladay 2, SRK/T, Hoffer Q or Haigis formula.

Enter the expected surgically induced astigmatism (SIA) in diopter in the upper field (SIA field). Determine the SIA from existing keratometric data for specific incision location by calculating the difference between the preoperative and the at least 3 month postoperative corneal astigmatism.

Keratometry

At K1 enter the flattest corneal radius then fill in the axis of the flattest radius. At K2 enter the steepest corneal radius 90 degrees further.
